A.  Each teacher shall receive a salary for each School year during the term of this Agreement in accordance with the Salary Schedule attached to this Agreement.

B.  Placement of each teacher on the Salary Schedule shall be based on past practice. Placement of newly-hired teachers on the Salary Schedule shall be within the sole discretion of the School.

C.  Beginning in the 1999-2000 School year, teacher moderators of Forensics, Student Council and Yearbook shall receive a stipend of $500 for each activity. The School shall solicit teachers to fill these positions. If no teacher requests to serve as moderator for an activity, the School shall have the option to assign a teacher to the activity and pay the stipulated stipend, or to use outside volunteers.
