Current Contract - Article 5 - Observations and Evaluations

A.  The Principal shall have the right to make classroom visitations at all times.

B.  The Principal shall make scheduled observations of each teacher lasting at least one-half hour on not less than two occasions during each School year. The teacher shall be notified two days prior to the scheduled observation. An observation report shall be prepared by the Principal based on criteria as set forth in the Faculty Manual.

C.  In April of each year, the Principal shall prepare an evaluation of each teacher. The evaluation shall be based upon all aspects of the performance of the teacher during the year, using criteria as set forth in the Faculty Manual.

D.  The Principal shall discuss each report with the teacher. The teacher shall sign each report to indicate that it has been received. The teacher shall have the right to submit a written response to each report. Each report, together with the written response of the teacher, shall be retained in the teacher's personnel file.
