Current Contract - Article XXVIII - Department Heads

It is understood that a principal is not required to appoint a department head for every department. Any lay department head appointed by the principal shall be given a stipend above his/her regular salary as follows:

$400 when there are three (3) or fewer teachers in the department.

$550 when there are four (4) to seven (7) teachers in the department.

$750 when there are eight (8) or more teachers in the department.

 The principal retains sole discretion as to whether or not to provide a department head with an additional preparation period each day.
