1. The Corporation will pay the reasonable expenses (including fees, meals, lodging and/or transportation) incurred by teachers who attend workshops, seminars, conferences or other professional improvement sessions at the request and/or with the advance approval of their principal or other authorized person. However, the Corporation will not pay the aforementioned expenses for diocesan sponsored, or system wide professional improvement sessions. Such meetings will not involve unreasonable expenses to the teacher.

2. The Corporation or individual schools as agents for the Corporation shall provide each teacher with the opportunity to earn during each school year twelve (12) PDP's (Professional Development Points) as defined by the State Board of Education, at no cost to the teacher. This PDP opportunity will be offered only at times other than pupil session day(s) or time. All teachers will avail themselves of the PDP opportunity.
