Current Contract - Article VIII - Non-Teaching Duties

1. The Corporation and the Association acknowledge that a teacher's primary responsibility is to teach and that his/her energies should, to the extent possible, be utilized to this end. Therefore, they agree as follows: teachers may be assigned supervisory duties including supervision of playgrounds, cafeterias, corridors and sidewalks, homeroom duties and study halls. Teachers will not be required to perform the following duties:

a) Milk and/or food distribution;

b) Health services, such as administering eye or ear examinations and weighing and measuring pupils;

c) Collecting money from students for non-educational purposes; and

d) Driving pupils to activities which take place away from the school building.
