SECTION A
Representatives from the Association and from the Diocese shall meet
once a year at a time mutually agreed upon. The purpose of this meeting
is to discuss matters relating to the carrying out of this Agreement, as
well as non-contractual issues.
SECTION B
During the year, the discussion of non-contractual issues at each high
school shall occur at regular meetings of the Faculty or Faculty Council.
Principals shall provide this item on the agenda, and all topics must be
submitted by either party in advance.
SECTION C
A Faculty Council may be established in each Diocesan high school.
It shall consist of a minimum of 25% of the total faculty, both full and
part time, and shall include both Lay and Religious in proportion to the
total faculty. Members of the Faculty Council shall be elected by the entire
faculty. Faculty members interested in serving on the Faculty Council may
nominate themselves. All faculty will then vote by secret ballot for the
representatives of their choice. The 25% of the faculty receiving the highest
number of votes will be elected to the Faculty Council. The ballots will
be counted by a joint committee of administrators and faculty, including
the building representatives. The Faculty Council must be elected by no
later than September 15 of each year.
