Current Contract - Article 13 - Extra-Curricular Activities

SECTION A
An extra-curricular activity shall be defined as an approved student group requiring adult supervision, leadership, or chaperoning which takes place ordinarily outside of regular classroom hours. This is exclusive of all inter-scholastic, competitive sports, which are contracted independently.

SECTION B
All openings for extra-curricular clubs and activities shall be posted in the school as soon as the openings occur. All qualified faculty have first opportunity to apply and shall be given every consideration before an outside individual is sought for the position.

SECTION C
Moderators of extra-curricular clubs and activities shall be compensated for this service. The principal and the moderator shall negotiate the amount with respect to degree of responsibility, after school time, number of students involved, and experience of moderator.

SECTION D
All moderators involved in extra-curricular activities shall have their duties contracted on an individual basis annually. This contract shall be separate from the collective bargaining agreement.
