SECTION A
It is the purpose of the Association to foster the Catholic philosophy of education in accordance with doctrines and canons of the Catholic Church, and to provide a quality education for the students who attend our schools.

SECTION B
In accordance with the elections held in November, 1983, and the recognition by the Bishop on December 1, 1983, the Association is recognized as the sole and exclusive collective bargaining agent for all teachers who are engaged in professional duties in the secondary schools of the Diocese.

SECTION C
Subjects covered by this Agreement are conditions of professional services, wages, hours, fringe benefits, working conditions, and professional responsibilities of said teachers.

SECTION D
It is understood that no school covered by this Agreement shall cease to be covered by this Agreement or any subsequent Agreement except for school closings.
